    Astronauts aboard the International Space Station are celebrating the Thanksgiving celebration feasting on freeze-dried green beans and cornbread dressing.

    Completing the commemoration is turkey, albeit in more of a deli style.

Prince Charles Criticizes Poor English Grammar In The U.K.
    Britain's Prince Charles has criticized the poor standards of English grammar in the United Kingdom. The prince - who was speaking at the Georgian Group awards in London's The Ritz hotel Wednesday - insisted people need to concentrate on using apostrophes properly and constructing sentences correctly.

    He said: "It seems to me that you need to remind people every now and then that you can't communicate to people in a language unless you know the grammar and the syntax and, indeed, the punctuation."

Firefighters, High School Students Cook Thanksgiving Meal For California Wildfire Victims
    Victims of the recent California wildfires will still enjoy a Thanksgiving dinner even if their properties have razed to ground. Several groups have organized turkey meals for them including firefighters from the Los Angeles Fire Station and students from the John H. Francis Polytechnic High School.

    Most of the beneficiaries of the Thanksgiving meal come from 500 razed homes from the Oakridge Mobile Home Park. Sixty of them will break bread and turkey with firefighters from the LA Fire Station, while 250 will be fed by cooking club members of the John H. Francis Polytechnic High School.

Space Station Team Collects Urine Samples To Test Urine-To-Drinking Water Recycling Program
    Astronauts onboard the linked space shuttle Endeavor and the International Space Station on Wednesday collect ed recycled urine samples from their $250- million water recovery system, to be returned back to Earth for further testing.

    The urine recycling equipment went operational Tuesday after long hours of tinkering by astronauts. It was delivered on November 16 by the space shuttle Endeavor and will be a crucial part in increasing the number of astronauts on board the ISS from the current three to six.

Presidentially Pardoned Thanksgiving Turkeys To Be Flown First Class To Disney To Grand Marshal Parade
    President George W. Bush will pardon his last Thanksgiving turkey at the White House on Wednesday, marking the 61st anniversary of the National Thanksgiving Turkey presentation.

    Bush will pardon the turkey and an alternate in a ceremony scheduled for 10:45 am ET at the Rose Garden. This year's turkeys are from Ellsworth, Iowa and and were raised under the direction of National Turkey Federation Chairman Paul Hill.

California Court Rules Prison Officials Have Right To Determine Inmate Food Temperature
    The First District of Appeal in San Francisco ruled that it is the prerogative of prison officials to determine the food temperature of inmates. The decision overturned a ruling by the Pelican Bay State Prison in Del Norte County mandating jail officials to ensure inmates receive hot meals.

    Two prisoners locked in the security housing of the facility filed a lawsuit over the food service because their breakfast and dinner were just lukewarm even if there is a Corrections Department regulation that stated all prisoners must receive three meals daily, of which two must be served hot.

    Greetings cards written by Britain's late Princess Diana have sold for $3,800. The two cards - which belonged to former royal chef Mervyn Wycherley who worked for the royal family for 23 years - were expecting to fetch around $1,500 but a bidding war broke out when they went on sale at auction house Reeman Dansie in Colchester, Essex on Monday.

    Auctioneer James Grinter said: "It's a very buoyant market, it has not been affected at all by the credit crunch. People would rather invest their money into something they can keep in their home and enjoy and which will hopefully rise in value."

'Pirate Ship' Destroyed By Indian Navy Actually A Thai Trawler, Owner Claims
    A Thai claimed Tuesday it was his trawler that was mistakenly identified as a pirate mother vessel and destroyed by an Indian warship off Somalia's coast last week.

    Fourteen sailors of the Ekawat Nava 5 remain missing after the Indian frigate INS Tabar fired at the ship that had just been boarded by Somali pirates, according to Wicharn Sirichaiekawat, owner of the trawler.
